The governorate has implemented a sericulture project to revive natural silk production, covering 50 acres and supported by the government. The project also includes a fish farming project and refrigerators for storing dates. The New Valley Governorate is planning to expand the project across 1,000 acres. Additionally, the governorate is holding the first marketing forum for Egyptian dates, a major product in the region, with the aim to improve added value and provide marketing opportunities for the region.
