In Kayseri, Turkey, a significant initiative titled 'Enabling the Use of Agricultural Lands Project' has been launched, distributing 700 tons of certified seeds, including chickpeas, safflower, green lentils, sorghum sudan, and dry beans, to local farmers. This project, supported by President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, aims to maximize agricultural production by ensuring that no land remains fallow. Over the past four years, the project has successfully distributed around 8 thousand tons of seeds, bringing 400 thousand decares of previously unused land into agricultural production, with a total budget of 100 million lira. The initiative, a collaboration between the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry and the Kayseri Metropolitan Municipality, also provides farmers with equipment and irrigation support, emphasizing the importance of utilizing all available agricultural land to ensure food security and sustainability in agriculture.
