In 2019, Peru's aguaymanto exports saw a 25% decrease, totaling 344,971 tons, with the Netherlands as the leading destination despite a 28% drop. The United States, Germany, and Canada also experienced changes in their import volumes. The Netherlands was the largest market for dehydrated aguaymanto, followed by the United States and Germany. Exports varied in form, with dehydrated being the most popular and experiencing a 23% drop, while fresh fruit exports saw an 854% increase. Organic exports made up 68% of the total, but saw a 31% decrease from the previous year. Sea transport was the dominant method of exporting, with air transport accounting for a small fraction. As of 2020, exports have reached 91,271 tons, mainly to the United States and the Netherlands.
