88.75 tons! Eastern Airlines charter flight reaches Chile in 24 hours, setting a new record for cherry imports.

On the evening of November 17, China Eastern Airlines' subsidiary, Donghang Logistics, with its "Donghang Cold Chain No." CK292 all-cargo flight, carrying 88.75 tons of Chilean cherries, arrived at Shanghai Pudong International Airport. The entire journey from Chile to China took 24 hours, with a brief stopover, setting a new record for the transportation time of Chilean cherries imported into China.

Thanks to various channels such as foreign procurement all-cargo flights, Donghang Logistics has successfully delivered over 1,100 tons of in-season cherries to multiple ports including Ezhou, Shanghai, Zhengzhou, Shenzhen, Hefei, Ningbo, and Hong Kong, China. Through the "Intercontinental Direct—Port Handling—Distribution to Warehouse" one-stop fresh produce express system, Donghang Logistics has achieved "48-hour freshness" from overseas airports to customer terminals.

It is reported that Donghang Logistics is one of the first domestic air logistics enterprises to introduce cherries through air charters and has maintained the position of the largest carrier and importer of Chilean air-transported cherries in China for twelve consecutive years. Through diversified logistics solutions such as "sea-air intermodal transport," "whole aircraft air-to-air transfer," and European transfers, Donghang Logistics has already incorporated markets such as Southeast Asia into the global layout of Chilean fresh produce.
