From April 5, 2022, Malatya, Turkey has experienced remarkable growth in its dried apricot exports, generating significant revenue in the first quarter of the year. Q1 exports totaled 18,499 tons, earning the country $91,291,000 on the global market. China emerged as a key market, importing 3,792 tons and contributing $10,902,000 to the revenue. Despite the ongoing conflict between Russia and Ukraine, which slightly impacted exports, Turkey's dried apricot industry remains robust, with exports to the top five European markets and stable relations with Russia. This performance highlights the importance of the dried apricot sector to Turkey's economy and its potential for further growth.
