In the first quarter of 2024, Russian grain exports saw a notable increase, particularly through the Krasnodar Territory ports, with a significant 30-fold rise in millet cereal exports to China, reaching 1.6 thousand tons. Overall, grain exports climbed by 8% to nearly 13 million tons, distributed across 51 countries. This period marked the resumption of wheat exports to Sri Lanka and Ethiopia, with increased volumes, and the expansion of the export portfolio to new markets such as India, which began importing Russian millet alongside its usual imports of pulses and oilseeds.
