Tran Thi Ngoc Cam (34 years old, Village 7, Duc Nhuan Commune, Mo Duc District) originally studied accounting at Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry and had a stable job after graduation. A turning point occurred unexpectedly when Ms. Cam experienced hair loss and allergies during her first pregnancy. Advised by elders to use soap berries for washing her hair, she followed their advice and was surprised by the effectiveness of this fruit. From there, her business idea also originated. Sharing with her husband and receiving his support, the couple began researching and experimenting with traditional cooking formulas; mixing soap berries with lemongrass, lemon, ginger, or pomelo peel... to concentrate into bottled shampoo for commercial sale.
