The production and price of essential oil crops soared in Bulgaria

The official statistics of the Ministry of Agriculture (MAZm) reports an increase in yields of pink flowers and lavender. According to operational data, at the end of June, 12.3 thousand tons of rose oil were harvested in the country, which is 38.6% above the level of a year ago. Analysts reported an increase in both the harvested areas and the average yield per hectare, which jumped by nearly 11%, reaching 281 kg/ha. On the manufacturers' side, the data are a little different for now, but again with a positive sign. "In most farms of our members, we have information about an increase in yields within 20 - 30%.
