Speaking at the "Olive Oil Journey from Ayvalık to World Tables" panel within the Gastrofest in Ayvalık, Kürlek said that while last season's olive oil harvest was 475,000 tons, this year a harvest of 250-300 thousand tons is expected. Kürlek stated, "If Spain achieves a harvest of 1.7-1.8 million tons and Tunisia exceeds expectations with a record 450,000 tons, we expect prices in Turkey to drop in the first months of 2026."
