A new season of inspection for fresh fruit bound for the United States begins in Cabrero.

The regional authority highlighted the importance of this work, stating that "the work carried out by the SAG at the Site is very relevant for all exports of fruit and vegetable products destined for the United States, as an inspection by our Service is required prior to entering that market, which is carried out exclusively at these inspection sites." Furthermore, it explained that at these facilities, SAG officials, along with an inspector from the United States Department of Agriculture, verify compliance with phytosanitary and traceability regulations, in accordance with the SAG's Pre-Shipment Program with the United States Department of Agriculture and Frutas de Chile.
