Egypt: A rise in the price of fresh milk with the onset of Ramadan

I wrote – Dina Khaled: Ihab Sharabia, deputy of the Dairy Division at the Alexandria Chamber of Commerce, told Masrawy that the prices of fresh natural buffalo milk rose in the market by about two pounds per kilo, with the beginning of Ramadan, compared to the prices of last February. Sharabia added to Masrawy, that the price of buffalo milk rose to 1,200 pounds per "float" weighing 50 kilos wholesale, to be sold in the market between 26 and 27 pounds, compared to 24 pounds last month. Sharabieh attributed the high prices to the lack of supply of buffalo milk in light of the high prices of fodder.
