A slight growth is expected in the areas planted with soybeans and peanuts in Córdoba, Argentina

With the planting work advanced, a new estimate of the 2023/24 summer crop area was made for the province of Córdoba. Corn, sorghum and sunflower would see their surface area decrease compared to the previous campaign, while soybeans and peanuts would increase by 2 and 1% respectively. Data collected by the Córdoba Cereal Exchange indicate that the area planted with soybeans, with almost 60% progress in planting, would increase to 4,133,200 hectares, which represents an increase of 2% compared to the previous campaign, although -8 % with respect to the historical average of planting in the province. In peanuts, a slight increase of 1% is expected compared to the previous campaign, achieving a planting of 250,800 hectares. The campaign is already more than 90% complete.
