A Ukrainian breeder presented frost-resistant almond hybrids

Ukrainian walnut growers are adapting to sudden weather changes associated with climate change, adapting already known nut varieties and working on developing new ones, writes EastFruit. Almond hybrids obtained by crossing ordinary almonds with Fenzl almonds, the Moldavian variety “Forsazh” and the Crimean varieties “Nikitsky-2240” and “Delon”, in mild winters with temperatures not lower than –21 ° C, bloom well in the spring. The author of hybrids, Anatoly Laba, a famous breeder and gardener from the Khmelnitsky region, spoke about this in the material of the magazine “Gardening in Ukrainian”.
