Abiove projection indicates record soybean production in Brazil in 2025

Brazil is expected to reach a record production of 167.7 million tons of soybeans in the 2025 harvest, which would represent an increase of 9.4% compared to the previous cycle. The forecast was released this Tuesday by the Brazilian Association of Vegetable Oil Industries (Abiove) and considers a significant recovery in productivity, after the climate challenges that affected the 2024 harvest. The increase in soybean production is also expected to boost exports and processing, with the numbers projected by Abiove indicating historic highs. The association estimates that Brazilian soybean exports in 2025 could reach 104.1 million tons, an increase of 5.9% compared to 2024, surpassing the 101.87 million tons exported in 2023. The forecast for soybean processing is 57 million tons, which represents a growth of 4.6% compared to the previous year, also setting a new record.
