Abiove updates projections for the soybean complex for 2026

The Brazilian Association of Vegetable Oil Industries (Abiove) released its new projection for the supply and demand balance of the soybean complex in 2026, bringing numbers that point to a new cycle of expansion. The numbers for Brazilian soybean production are estimated at 177.7 million tons, while crushing is expected to reach 60.5 million tons. The production of soybean meal is expected to reach 46.6 million tons, and that of soybean oil, 12.5 million tons. In foreign trade, Brazil is expected to consolidate its position in the global market. Grain exports are projected at 111 million tons, a new historical level. Soybean meal should register 24.6 million tons exported, while oil could reach 1.2 million tons, a 20% advance over the previous year. Oil imports are expected to remain at 125 thousand tons, and those of soybeans, at 500 thousand tons, intended to complement the domestic supply.
