Peru's agricultural sector has seen steady growth, contributing to national production and supporting millions of families. Despite the COVID-19 pandemic, the sector experienced a 10% growth in the first nine months of 2022. The fruit subsector, accounting for approximately 60% of exports, saw a 7% increase in both value and volume from January to September 2022. Notably, there was a significant growth in the export of blueberries, grapes, mandarins, mangoes, strawberries, and Tahiti lemons to various international markets, with the United States being a key market. Canned pineapples also saw a substantial increase in export growth during the same period.
