Afghanistan halts onion exports to meet domestic demand

Afghanistan has stopped exporting onions to meet the demand from its domestic markets as prices have risen sharply recently. The Chamber of Agriculture said that due to the drought across the country, the onion harvest has declined, causing prices in the country to rise as well.
