Afghanistan: Ministry finalizes purchase of 38,000 tons of wheat

Officials of the ministry emphasized that, under the directive of the leader of the Islamic Emirate, wheat worth over one billion afghani has been purchased from farmers, and the process of transporting and storing it in the country’s silos is ongoing. Agha Jan Akhund, the deputy minister of the Ministry of AIL, stated that 17,000 tons of wheat will be stored exclusively in the central silo of Kabul. “All provincial warehouses are now full and locked. The wheat being transferred to the Kabul silo is currently being unloaded, and this process will be completed soon,” he said. Qudratullah Haqyar, the Director of Strategic Reserves of the Ministry of Agriculture, said that the wheat is being stored in a standardized manner.
