To transition to smart fisheries for the commercialization of artificial intelligence (AI) and big data technology, a new budget of 28.5 billion won has been allocated. Additionally, to expand the distribution of advanced aquaculture facilities, the budget has increased from 51 billion won in 2025 to 125 billion won. To create strategic aquaculture item development leading areas, a new budget of 133 billion won has been confirmed, and 102 billion won has been allocated for the establishment of a national fisheries AX platform, and for the indigenization of applied technology and demonstration research.
