The Korea Duck Association Has a New Leader The Korea Duck Association has welcomed a new leader. Lee Chang-ho, who served as president from 2009 to 2015, ran unopposed in the 14th presidential by-election and was elected. At a time when the duck industry is experiencing severe damage from highly pathogenic avian influenza (AI) and supply imbalances due to breeding restrictions, we met with this new president who aims to lead a new renaissance for the Korean duck industry. #Fundamental AI Prevention Measures Needed "During 10 years and 2 months of raising ducks on-site, I've had many thoughts. The current crisis in the duck industry is not anyone's fault, but the responsibility of all industry participants. I believe we need support projects for thorough farm-level quarantine to reduce AI damage and redesign duck farms to be quarantine-friendly and customized.
