After the recent diagnosis of African Swine Fever (ASF) in Bosnia-Herzegovina, the virus has now also been found in neighboring Croatia, located about 15 to 20 kilometers away from the affected Bosnian city of Bijeljina. This brings the total count of European countries reporting ASF to 23 since the virus was introduced in 2007. Countries in Southeastern Europe, including Serbia, Romania, Bulgaria, and Greece, have also reported ASF outbreaks, and Germany is making progress in controlling the virus. Additionally, Poland has reported cases of ASF on its farms.
