The Official Veterinary Service (SVO) of the Government of Catalonia reported the detection of two new secondary outbreaks of African Swine Fever (ASF) in wild boars, with 2 and 1 infected animals respectively in each one. Both are located in the vicinity of the previously notified outbreaks and within the perimeter of the area considered to be at highest risk. With these two new outbreaks, the number of reported outbreaks to date rises to seven, 2 primary and 5 secondary, totaling 16 positive animals. In addition, 115 other animals found dead in the wild, on roads or railways in the infected area and surroundings were analyzed and tested negative. Regarding the 55 farms located in the Infected Zone, the analyses indicate the absence of symptoms and lesions compatible with the disease. December 12, 2025 / MAPA / Spain. https://www.mapa.gob.es
