Vietnam's dragon fruit exports have seen a significant decrease of nearly half since 2020, following a decline in China's imports. Despite this, exports to the United States, UK, Germany, France, Australia, and India have surged. In the first four months of 2024, exports to China fell by 19.3% to $162 million, while total exports were down by 7.5% to $230 million. The U.K. and Germany saw the largest increases in imports. The Vietnam Fruit and Vegetable Association predicts that exports will rise in the second half of the year due to uniform specifications, lower global production due to El Nino, and high prices.
