Due to a recent history of salt drought in Tien Giang province, fruit tree deaths have led to a high demand for seedlings, resulting in a significant price increase. Seedling prices have risen two to three times compared to last year for most types of trees, and four to five times for certain fruits like durian. Despite the high costs, seedlings are still popular. The local authorities are supporting gardeners to restore specialty gardens and are recommending drought-resistant plants.
