Spring field work, including sowing of spring grain crops and feeding of winter crops, has commenced among agricultural producers in all districts. As of April 8, 2021, 19% of the forecasted areas have been sowed with early spring crops such as spring barley, spring wheat, peas, and oats, and the sowing of industrial crops like sugar beet, mustard, and sunflower has also begun. The feeding of winter crops is nearly completed at 95% of the area, and the second feeding of winter cereals and winter rape has started. In total, winter crops were sown on an area of 66.5 thousand hectares, including wheat on 54.7 thousand hectares, rye on 9.7 thousand hectares, barley on 1.9 thousand hectares, and winter rape on 28.0 thousand hectares.
