Agri-food companies maintain concern over Trump's threats to Spain

Agri-food companies maintain concern over the new tariff threat from the President of the United States (U.S.), on this occasion directed only at Spain; for the oil sector, one of the main affected parties considers it "serious," while wine and meat focus on negotiations. The president of the oil section of Agri-food Cooperatives, Rafael Sánchez de Puerta, has expressed concern about the threats against Spain from the U.S. President, Donald Trump: "We find it tremendously serious (...) It terrifies us and certainly (if it comes to pass) it would completely remove us from the market". Sánchez de Puerta has pointed out that the sector "has learned" from previous conflicts, such as the litigation with the U.S. over Boeing-Airbus aid or the current situation of table olives in the North American market, that there is a possibility of imposing different tariffs on EU countries.
