South Korea's agri-food exports reached an all-time high of $6.12 billion in the third quarter, marking a 12.3% increase from the previous year, as reported by the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs. This growth was led by fresh agricultural products and processed foods, despite the COVID-19 pandemic and logistical challenges. Notable increases were seen in the exports of kimchi, ginseng, sauces, and noodles. New markets such as the European Union and New Northern are showing growth in addition to the traditional markets of Japan, China, and the US. The ministry plans to further boost exports through promotional activities.
