Mexico's agricultural and agroindustrial exports experienced a 5.19% growth in 2020, reaching a total of 39.525 billion dollars. The growth was primarily driven by the meat sector, which saw a 17.4% increase. The country also saw a decrease in food imports by 5.47%. The balance of the country's agro-food trade closed with a surplus of 12 thousand 347 million dollars, an increase of 39.92%. The main agricultural export products were vegetables, fruits, and beverages, accounting for over 61% of the total.
