Spain exported 4,705.6 million euros in goods to Argentina, Brazil, Paraguay, and Uruguay in 2024, a figure that could grow by around 40% over the years of deployment of the agreement in the EU and Mercosur and about 50% in the case of agri-food products. Brussels has proposed a provisional pact to start applying the trade part of the agreement with Mercosur as soon as possible, an entry into force that the European Commission (EC) estimates will allow exports to the region to increase by up to 39%.
