Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan are set to increase their agricultural cooperation, with Kazakh businessmen establishing a cluster for fruit and vegetable processing in Uzbekistan's Namangan region, and Uzbek entrepreneurs creating a cluster for deep processing of Kazakh grain. The collaboration includes projects for crop cultivation for export, forward contract sales of early vegetables, herbs, and potatoes, and the establishment of a grain processing cluster. The trade turnover between the two countries in 2021 reached $1.2 billion, with mutual trade volume in January-September 2022 being $1.3 billion.
