According to data provided by Kazakhstan Temir Zholy (KTZ), the main export destinations include Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, Azerbaijan, Afghanistan, and Turkmenistan.
· Uzbekistan: Exports increased from 568,000 tons to 801,000 tons, a growth of 41%;
· Tajikistan: From 236,000 tons to 245,000 tons, an increase of 3.8%;
· Kyrgyzstan: From 17,000 tons to 45,000 tons, a growth of 2.6 times.
Exports to the Caucasus region also saw strong growth:
· Azerbaijan: Exports increased from 11,000 tons to 38,000 tons, a growth of 3.4 times;
· Afghanistan: Exports were 72,000 tons, a year-on-year increase of 28.6%;
· Turkmenistan: Exports were 5,000 tons, a year-on-year increase of 66.7%.
KTZ noted that the continuous growth in exports reflects strong international market demand for Kazakhstan's grain, and also indicates the stable and efficient operation of the country's transportation and logistics system.
According to previous reports, from January to September 2025, Kazakhstan's grain cargo transportation volume reached 9.5 million tons, an increase of 40% compared to the same period last year (6.8 million tons in 2024).
