The Aegean Exporters' Associations, in collaboration with EU and Turkish officials, are focusing on enhancing the quality and sustainability of Turkish spice exports to the European Union. Since 2019, efforts have included product analysis, farmer training, and the creation of Implementation Guides, aligning with the EU Green Deal. Turkey's agricultural exports reached $35 billion in 2023, with significant contributions from the Aegean region. A technical committee was established in 2022 to improve coordination among exporters, and Turkey's spice exports saw a 28% increase in early 2024, underscoring the importance of quality for continued success.
