The National Agricultural Products Quality Management Service (KAMS) in South Korea will begin providing full-scale support for residual pesticide testing on grapes for export to Taiwan, as part of Taiwan's new Export Grape Pre-Registration System. Farmers must obtain a unique registration number, submit a residual pesticide test report, and obtain a plant quarantine certificate to export. The process involves applying for pesticide residue inspections, preparing a pesticide usage record book, and receiving analysis results. Only agricultural products that meet the residue tolerance standards of the export destination country can be exported. The Agricultural Research Institute will provide support and education to farmers in major grape-producing areas, aiming to increase the export competitiveness of Korean grapes.
