The Ministry of Agriculture has released a set of procedures for exporting six crops - peppers, guavas, strawberries, grapes, mangoes, and pomegranates - to countries including Saudi Arabia, Jordan, and England. The procedures vary by destination. For example, exporting to Saudi Arabia requires a sample from the shipment to be removed at the farm. Exporting to Jordan requires a valid export permit and citrus fruits to be refrigerated three days before shipment. The temperature of citrus fruits is also monitored daily if they are being exported to Jordan. The validity period for analysis samples is 15 days for citrus fruits and 30 days for onions when exported to Saudi Arabia.
