Alaa Farouk, Egypt's Minister of Agriculture and Land Reclamation, has discussed a partnership with Dr. Nasr El-Din El-Obeid, the Executive Director of the Arab Center for the Studies of Arid Zones and Dry Lands (ACSAD), to combat climate change and improve agriculture in arid and semi-arid regions. This collaboration will encompass a variety of projects, including a model farm for efficient animal production, focusing on specific sheep and goat breeds, and a model farm for high-yield olive cultivation. Additionally, the partnership aims to develop salt-tolerant and drought-resistant crop varieties, as well as an interactive land use map and a fertilizer map for each region.
