The Agricultural Research Center in Egypt follows up on vegetable seed production programs and cooperates with universities and the private sector in South Korea

The Institute received Korean expert Professor Lim Young from Kangwon University and his accompanying delegation, representing some private sector companies in South Korea, within the framework of joint cooperation between the Agricultural Research Center. Dr. Alphonse Gris, the Institute’s Deputy for Production Affairs and the Potato Research Department, said that the delegation visited the departments of Houk Al-Khader in Dokki, in the presence of Dr. Osama Seif El-Din, head of the department, in order to follow up on the evaluation of the cultivation of Korean varieties of potatoes and conduct crossbreeding between the varieties through a selection program for quality and processing traits in potatoes. The visit also included Horticulture Research Station in Qanater Al-Khairiya, headed by Issam Al-Atrash, director of the station.
