Egypt: Importing 19,322 tons of potato seeds until November 16, an increase of 49.5% over last year

Al Mal obtained a publication on potato seed imports for the 2024-2025 season until November 16, where the quantity recorded 19,322 tons for 30 varieties approved by the agricultural quarantine, compared to 12,946 in the previous season, an increase of 6,376 tons and 49.5% as a result of the expansion of areas and the availability of dollars for importing entities. The publication revealed that seed imports from the Netherlands amounted to 7,646 tons in the lead, followed by France 4,642, Denmark 4,417, Scotland 2,050 tons, Germany 250, Austria 180, and Poland 135.
