The General Authority for Veterinary Services in Egypt has initiated a nationwide campaign for 2024 to vaccinate small ruminants against disease, including sheep and goats, in all governorates. This campaign is part of the state's efforts to preserve livestock, provide safe food, and achieve food security, in line with the ministry's sustainable development goals. The campaign will educate breeders about the importance of numbering and registering livestock, and the benefits of having a registration card for each animal's disease and vaccination history. The Veterinary Medicine Directorate in Kafr El-Sheikh is actively involved in this initiative, using preventive veterinary medical committees and conveying the importance of vaccination to the public.
