Germany: After two recent poor harvests, Bavaria’s hop farmers are optimistic about the coming harvest

According to initial estimates, the total harvest for the federal territory will be around 49,000 tons. That is around 19 percent more than last year's harvest. "The 2024 growing year was more than challenging for Bavaria's farmers. I am all the more pleased that our hop farmers can expect a good harvest this year. After two lean hop years, the companies can breathe a sigh of relief again. Bavaria is known far beyond the state's borders for its beers and for the unique growing areas of Bavarian hops. The breweries will be able to make the most of the full supply," said the Minister of Agriculture at this year's hop tour.
