The Ministry of Agriculture in Egypt is implementing a contract with contractors to produce seeds, with a minimum area of 5 acres. The seeds are provided and monitored until harvest, and prices are set at cost with no profit margin, making them 15% cheaper than market price. This year, the ministry has prepared enough raw material to cultivate 700,000 feddans of wheat, 1379 tons of fava beans, 60 tons of alfalfa, and 600 kilos of black bean, including modern varieties. The seeds are monitored during cultivation and stored properly before being distributed. The ministry urges farmers to plant at appropriate times to ensure good production and higher net profit.
