Secretary of Agriculture and Rural Development, Víctor Villalobos Arámbula, announced a focused implementation of key programs to benefit agriculture in Zacatecas, including Production for Well-being, Guarantee Prices, and Fertilizers for Well-being. In 2020, the state produced 8.4 million tons of farm products, valued at 28 thousand 719 million pesos. The Ministry is working with the state government to boost agricultural productivity and family income, supporting 60,942 producers and implementing programs like Bean Collection and Energy for Agricultural Use, which have benefited 562 producers and saved producers 559 million pesos in agricultural electricity costs, respectively. Zacatecas is a major contributor to Mexico's agri-food sector, leading in the production of several crops and holding the country's bean industry heart.
