In the first half of 2021, Argentina's agricultural exports experienced a significant boost, with a 20% increase compared to the same period in the previous year, totaling 3.48 billion dollars. This growth was primarily driven by a 21% increase in non-traditional agro-exports, which reached 3.361 billion dollars. Traditional agro-exports also saw an increase of 18%, generating 32 million dollars. The non-traditional export portfolio was led by fresh avocados, grapes, mangoes, asparagus, and prepared animal feed, accounting for 65% of the total non-traditional exportable supply. Notably, fresh avocados saw a 47% increase in shipments, and prepared animal feed products experienced a 55% increase. These positive trends underscore a resilient and robust performance of Argentina's agricultural sector despite the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic.
