Cooperativas Agro-alimentarias de Andalucía has completed a comprehensive study on the organic olive sector, focusing on social, cultural, economic, and environmental parameters, as part of the Agricore project. The project, which concluded after five years, developed a tool to forecast the effects of agricultural policies, using advanced technologies like big data, artificial intelligence, and cloud computing. The tool will be used by the General Directorate of Agriculture of the European Commission to evaluate the potential impact of changes to the Common Agricultural Policy. The project is funded by the European Horizon 2020 program and involved collaboration from institutions and companies in Spain, Italy, Greece, and Poland.
