Peru: Agrobanco granted more than 498 million soles to 61,993 farmers as of September

From January to September of this year, Agrobanco served 61,993 small agricultural producers in the country with timely loans amounting to 498.3 million, reported the specialized state bank. 62% of the disbursements were made through the Direct Financing Program of the Agroperú Fund, he said. During this period, the regions that registered the highest disbursement in loans were: Puno (11.5%), Huánuco (7.7%), San Martín (7.3%), Arequipa (6.9%), Junín (6.9%), Cajamarca (6.7%) ), Ayacucho (5.9%), Cusco (5.5%), Piura (4.7%) and Áncash (4.2%), he specified.
