The National Agency for the Promotion of Agricultural and Livestock Productivity of Peru (Senamhi) has released the agroclimatic risk forecast for rice cultivation from October to December 2024. The forecast predicts varying temperature and precipitation patterns across different regions of Peru, including above-normal daytime temperatures and below-normal nighttime temperatures in the northern jungle, and normal to lower accumulated precipitation in the north and south coasts. These conditions could increase the risk for rice cultivation, leading to water stress, higher risk for pests, and potential delays in sowing.
