Agricultural engineer Miriam Vásquez Chuquizuta, president of the Association of Innovative Farmers of Ancash – Ediflor, decided that avocado could be much more than a seasonal fruit. What was once a surplus harvest is now being turned into high-quality avocado oil, which she markets under the brand NutriAvo®. Beginnings “We wanted to add value to the avocado and demonstrate that, from Santa, in Ancash, premium products can also be made,” recalls Vásquez with a mixture of pride.
