Aid for milk arrives, but more is still needed, evaluates Gadolando

The National Supply Company (Conab) has announced actions to help milk producers who have been impacted by the drop in product prices in the market. The meeting in Porto Alegre (RS), which brought together authorities from the federal and state governments, deputies, and presidents of associations and cooperatives, took place at the headquarters of the Conab Superintendency in the capital of Rio Grande do Sul. The president of the agency, Edegar Pretto, announced a contribution of R$ 106 million that will be allocated to seven states (Rio Grande do Sul, Santa Catarina, Paraná, São Paulo, Goiás, Sergipe, and Alagoas) aimed at purchasing powdered milk. In total, 2.5 million tons of milk will be acquired, with 1.1 million tons from Rio Grande do Sul, where the material will be stored at the Conab facility in Canoas.
