The Ministry of Supply and Internal Trade has reported that the beet crop supply for the Kafr El-Sheikh factory has surpassed 100,000 tons since the start of the season, with a total production of 12 million tons from over 620,000 acres. The Delta Sugar Company, which operates the Kafr El-Sheikh factory and others, expects to produce 340,000 tons of sugar this season. The company has implemented incentives for farmers, such as early seed provision and free land spraying, and has introduced the Factory Supply Plan to facilitate supply logistics. The government has increased the beet supply price to 1,000 pounds, a move that has been well-received by farmers. The sugar production from beets is aimed at boosting the strategic reserve and achieving self-sufficiency in sugar in the future.
