Algeria is interested in expanding supplies of Russian dairy products

Each Algerian consumes an average of 145 liters of milk every year, and Russian dairy products have huge potential in the North African country. A significant part of the national demand for dairy products is met through imports. Representatives of Algerian business expressed their interest in cooperation with Russian companies exporting dairy products. A meeting on the possibilities of increasing the supply of Russian dairy products was held on November 14 as part of Russia’s business mission to Algeria. The event was organized by the Federal Center "Agroexport" and the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation. Algeria is the second largest importer of milk powder in the world, and Russian supplies can take their rightful place in this market, noted Dmitry Krasnov, head of the Agroexport Federal Center.
