Aliağa continues to be an example in rural development.

In collaboration between the Municipality of Aliağa and the İzmir Provincial Directorate of Agriculture and Forestry, the second phase of the distribution of subsidized rams and sheep was carried out at the Aliağa Breeding Sheep Production Center, which was planned to strengthen local development, encourage agricultural production, and increase the economic welfare of producers. Producers from Aliağa who wanted to benefit from the 100% subsidized sheep and 75% subsidized ram support applied between 15-19 September through the Aliağa District Directorate of Agriculture and Forestry. Out of the 221 producers who applied, 110 producers were selected by lottery and given a total of 210 small livestock.
